You might have seen RICE on Channel Seven’s Weekend Sunrise (18/12/11) and are wondering what the movement is all about. Here’s a video message from Steve Chong (Director of the RICE Movement), Adrian Tam (Director of RICE Revolution) and the leadership of the movement explaining what we do and what we would love for you! When I think of a revolution, I think of tumultuous change, individual action and transformation. One such revolution that fundamentally changed Western society was the Industrial Revolution that took place in the 19th Century.
Urbanisation grew rapidly as rural farming and agrarian practices became outmoded by machine and technological advancement. Progress in scientific knowledge became exciting and threatening and electricity became a dominant and practical tool. With these advancements came mass production and manufactured goods, as numerous factories opened providing more job opportunities.
How, in any way, does this link to Rice Revolution?
Revolution Conference is only a week and a half away, so here’s a quick reminder of how to get to UNSW on the day. On public transport, you will have to travel to the city (Central station is best) and catch another bus.
Revolution Conference in less than 7 days. What are you expecting?
As I look back into the earlier times of planning for the Conference, I remember speaking with Adrian about what we expect out of the Conference. This expectance is not from the music that will be played, not from the message that will be preached, not from the lighting that will create the atmosphere, but expectance of what God is going to do in each individual’s lives.
